I Like Silly Acronyms
to sisters house we go...
Published on February 25, 2005 By Danny Bassette In Home & Family
Early tomorrow morning (baring any problems/accidents/whatnot) I'm going to visit my sister at her home in new jersey. I'm actually looking forward to it, I havn't seen her home yet. She's come up here to visit a few times, but I havn't been down there yet. She got married a little over a year ago and we are taking some stuff to her that she left behind (like her bed, nothing important ). So I'm looking forward to seeing her and her husband. What I'm not looking forward to is the trip with the rest of my family...
In case any of you have missed it, I do not like my family at all (at least the ones I live with, my sister is ok and I don't live with her, go figure). So I am not looking forward to the six hour car ride tomorrow (and again on sunday...). I normally am not a big fan of car rides, being with my family will only make it more unpleasant. Yet I'm going with them. Oh well.
I'll be posting a "friday five" right after I post this (server willing of course), and then be gone until sunday evening. Two days without joeuser, wonder how I'll manage If all goes well I'll have a story or two to share when I get back. You all have a fun weekend

6 hours? Wow, the posibilities!! You could:

actually finish the whole "99 Bottles of Beer on the Wall" song...
Sing "The Song that Doesn't End" long enough to find out if it truly doesn't end...
Read, "War & Peace" aloud for all your family to hear...
heed the advice of Ben Franklin and "FART PROUDLY"!!!

But most of all, you can beat both Bart Simpson and "Donkey's" world record for asking....

ARE WE THERE YET?

Well, you get the idea!! ;~D

Have a great trip anyway!!!!

Have a good trip nonetheless, Danny. Get the window seat, listen to music and just enjoy the scenery ignoring everything else around you. See you soon!

Miracle of modern technology;
Mobile DVD,PS2, with headphones

Creates long range riding bliss ( works for me with a 16 year old and 10 year old in the back seat )

Saw one in Wal-Mart with two 5 inch monitors for only $175.00 ! ( PS2 hookups )

Well worhty of the investment.

Happy motoring

Hope you have a good time at your sister's...let us know how the family road trip went...who knows...maybe it won't go as bad as you might think.

PareTed2k: Surprisingly enough, we had none of that. Although my sister was farting enough once we got to her place, she just wasn't all that proud about it.
Ravenblack: I actually get the front passenger seat. Thanks to getting car sick years past I always get the front seat, not that I go on trips that often.
Dynosoar: Good idea, unfortunately I don't have those toys.
InBloom: It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, I'll try to get something written up tonight (after I try and read everything that was written while I was gone ).
Thanks for the kind words everyone
