Yahoo Personal Ad

       ack, don't know how to start article...
       Basically I'm lonely and depressed, and as nice as it is to have friends online and such, it's not the same as having a real person there to talk with. So I stole someones idea and filled out the forms at yahoo and now I have a personal ad there. Not sure where it will go from here. I'm rather nervous about actually contacting any of the people who have ads up as well, but that's the point so I'll just have to be brave.
       If I understand things correctly my picture will be up sometime tomorrow, I'll wait until at least then before I go and try to talk to people. After all, the picture should help things (or hurt) by having them see me before talking, make it less of a random stranger. Even if the picture only shows so much...
       So hopes are not high, but I'm going to try. And if anyone wants to see my ad, well here it is.

Good for you Danny. Good luck, I hope everything works out. Just remember that you might not be thrilled with the first person you meet. Try not to get too discouraged.

Moderateman: That I am, but hopefully being aware of it will help me protect myself. If not, well I've lived through having my heart ripped out before (figuritivly, not literally), I'll live should it happen again, as unpleasant as it would be.

dharmagrl: I thought so too, is why I did it, even if I am nervous, but I guess that's to be expected.
Cordelia: I would be surprised if I was thrilled, happy mind you, but surprised. I'll wait a while before getting too discouraged

Loneliness is the worst thing. And it's hard to avoid, even if you surround yourself with people, you can still feel like the only person in the world. Usually because one day you realise none of these people actually know who the hell you are.

I hope you find who/what you're looking for Danny. You deserve it

Yep, loneliness is no fun, even though sometimes being alone can be. And your right, it's the being known that is what matters, I've been lonely in crowds often enough. So maybe I'll find someone I can talk to, because as great as talking to people here is, I want to be able to talk to someone offline too. And yes, cuddle too. Thanks Dyl

Locamama: Good point, perhaps I'll be taking another picture of me. And the height requirement wasn't me, like most of the other requirements I left blank, yahoo then filled it in. Still funny, just not my joke, is someone elses

island_gurl12: Sure, I'll keep you all posted. As for the picture, well if I understand how it works it will show up three days after I post it, which will be towards the end of today. They check the pictures to make sure they are ok, which I think means they try to prevent people from using it as an advertisement medium for other things. The picture I submitted is the same one I have on my sidebar, but the service will let me have up to five, so I'm going to submit a few others.
