I Like Silly Acronyms

Yesterday was my birthday, yeah ra and stuff. I had a nice little party with my family, although I would have rather been sailing. Ok, not really, but as the visiting hairdresser pointed out, after 21 birthdays are just another day. I did get some presents though, which is nice. Bunch of clothes, a blanket, some candy, and RAM.
So I have this new stick of RAM, 512 megs of it. Well I go to install it and when I do my computer happily tells me that it will only work with RAM in pairs. IE, this stick is worthless unless I get another. Not sure what I'll do about it yet, but is something to ponder.
On a somewhat different note (still computerish stuff), Totalgaming.net is offering Earth 2150 and it's two expansion packs for only one token. Since I liked Moon Project when I played it before, I figured I'd get them. Playing the first part now (Escape from the Blue Planet), and I still don't like ED. Their units just feel outclassed. But more importantly, the setup supports windowed mode, which is good. Since I no longer have two computers I really like playing things in windowed mode. Oddly enough, both Moon Project and Lost Souls don't have an option in the setup for windowed mode. So I thought about it and then hunted down registry entries, compared them with Escape from the Blue Planet and made some changes. Poof, instant windowed mode. Course, there was probably a good reason the setup didn't include that option...
On a completely different topic, I have to be mean now. My horoscope today said that I should "Stop being nice". It then went on to imply that my niceness will get me killed. I shall now yield before the wisdom of the horoscope and start being as unnice as possible, yep yep yep. Since my horoscope is never wrong, I am the true lord of the dance and don't you forget it

Happy belated birthday Danny! Hope you had some good cake (or whatever your family does on birthdays).

Yesterdays cake was nasty stuff. Store bought cheese cake that was still mostly frozen. Icky, but my mom thought I'd like it so I ate it. Family is strange that way. We had better cake on saturday. Grandma and Adele (my sister) were here to watch my brothers basketball game and then we had homemade cheese cake as an early birthday party. That was a good cake, I do like homemade cheese cake.

Well a Happy ( if late) Birthday!  good to see you again too

you got to be mean?!  wow!  some horoscope...  mine has fit my life perfectly lately...interesting how that works!

Birthdays are good,  it means we're still here fighting the good fight,  on our own path.

Well, look at it this way.  RAM is cheap!  But get the same brand.  So you can make sure you get the same speed and Cache Latency, or you rcomputer will still not like it!

Happy Birthday!
