Yesterday was my birthday, yeah ra and stuff. I had a nice little party with my family, although I would have rather been sailing. Ok, not really, but as the visiting hairdresser pointed out, after 21 birthdays are just another day. I did get some presents though, which is nice. Bunch of clothes, a blanket, some candy, and RAM.        So I have this new stick of RAM, 512 megs of it. Well I go to install it and ...

My family left for a week or so last friday, leaving me at home with the menagerie. That's all good, but where it gets odd is that my mom told me to eat the jello. Which is fine, I like jello. But I've been having some difficulty handling the task.        We had about a dozen boxes of jello when they left. Putting the two cranberry ones back in the cupboard (because I don't like cranberries) that left me plenty ...

I am a grumpy old man. Yep, that's me.        But I try not to let it show too much, too often. Not much point to making anyone else grumpy as well, now is there? Helps make blogging harder, that it does. After all, wouldn't be fair to go on about how evil and wrong something is when I'm really not upset at whatever it is, it just happens to be a convenient target for grumpiness generated elsewhere. Can't be ha...

Gideon MacLeish 's article on points got me wondering where I stood on the silly charts. I know I'm not posting as much as I once did, so I expected to find that I'd sunked quiet a bit in ranking.        Surprise, surprise, on the top users I come in at 33 . Right next to Ted (congrats on the featured review) and Heather (write more soon? please?), good company there I think I might have gained a few pl...

Ingredients: Filtered Water, Grape Juice Concentrate (Filtered Water, Grape Juice Concentrate), Grape Juice, Calcium Gluconate, Malic Acid, Natural Flavor, Sodium Citrate, Ascorbic Acid (Vitamin C), Calcium Lactate, Sucralose (Splenda Brand), Acesulfame Potassium Filtered Water First ingredient, makes sense too. Of course it's has alot of water, everything has water in it. And in this case, since it's the 'light' grape juice, it's probably more then half water as it is. Half the calori...

They (whoever the mysterious they are) say 'truth is stranger then fiction'. As in, the factual stuff that happens is stranger then any story we could make up. Which brings us to todays questions... 1/ Is truth in fact stranger then fiction? What do you believe. 2/ What is the strangest, yet truthful, thing you can think of? (does not have to involve you, just be truthful to the best of your knowledge) 3/ What is the strangest, yet fictional, th...

You've just been given your perfect job (occupation, place of employement, you get the idea), regardless of qualifications or skills. 1/ What would be your perfect job? 2/ How close are you currently to doing this job? 3/ What skills/abilities/whatnot would you need before you could do this job? 4/ Why arn't you working towards this perfect job? (unless you are, in which case when do you think you'll get there?) 5/ And what is your current job? ...

Right now I've got over a dozen windows open. And it's doubtful that the number wlll go down much before friday.        One of the windows is a download that I don't want to stop because I'd have to restart it and it would have to reindex everything and it would be bothersome. So I want to let it run until it's done. But that probably won't happen until sometime thursday. It worked all day yesterday, is a little...

I have five things to say in this article, some connected to each other, some not, so I'm just going to mash them together and call it good        On friday I wrote a "friday five" thing up, as I did for the two fridays before that. For those of you that arn't aware of it, Mignuna used to do "friday five"s but then she stopped. And now she has come back? (or one can hope at least) If she has and wants to reclai...

You've acquired a genie who will now grant you three wishes, the only restriction being you can't wish for more wishes. 1/ How/where did you acquire the genie/what is the genie in (doesn't have to be a lamp)? 2/ What is your first wish? 3/ What is your second wish? 4/ What is your third wish (those were easy questions to ask )? 5/ Your wishes are done, what do you do with the genie (or their container) now? And a welcome back to Mignuna, she ca...

You've been abducted by aliens. Before they get to the mandatory anal probing, they have some questions on humanity for you. 1/ What does the alien look like (ok, they aren't asking you this one)? 2/ What is humanities best trait and who best demonstrates it? 3/ What is humanities worst trait and who most shows it? 4/ What is the best answer to the meaning of life that humanity has developed? 5/ The aliens will answer any one question to the bes...

You wake up one day (assume it's during winter) and find a foot of snow (for those that don't know what snow is, imagine ice that has been ground up and pulverized into powder, then poured across the landscape) outside... 1/ Upon finding the snow, what is your first thought? 2/ What do you think you'll do differently because of the snow? 3/ What will you wear when you go outside? 4/ How common/rare is this much snow? 5/ The snow also managed to c...

So's a while's back island_gurl12 wrote an article asking some questions and such. Good for her, asking questions is better then working in ignorance (although finding the answers out yourself can be fun too). Through the answers Gene Nash showed us purple quotes, which was neat and pretty. It was great of him to show us this, but his purple quote didn't quiet match the normal quiets (border was too big). Minor detail and I doubt anyone else w...

*grins wickedly* sent me an email stating she has been busy with work and such. She wanted everyone to know that she's ok but hasn't had much opportunity to use an internet connected computer. And I guess that's it, easy enough message to share
